ESP and Spokane-based IntelliTect Collaborate on Process Improvement

This fall ESP’s development team has been working with IntelliTect, a local Microsoft training resource, to improve and modernize our development process. As the pace of development requests has increased as well as the complexity of those requests we are continually working on making our processes more efficient, this is our commitment to ongoing learning. Primarily our focus is on the feedback loop when it comes to testing and how we branch the FORZA source code to ensure stability on releases. We want to make sure we were being responsive and continue to follow best practices when it comes to software development.

Intellitect has focused on our use of source control software and has engaged in several whiteboard sessions to outline the best possible workflow for development. Based on the outcomes of these sessions, we will be transitioning to a newer application for this process at the beginning of the year, as well as continuing to engage in training sessions to implement new workflows and add checkpoints to ensure our new metrics are being met.

In addition to consulting on our own development process, Intellitect’s team of developers will also be working with ESP in 2023 to supplement our own development resources, enabling us to conquer some larger projects. We are always looking for new ways to speed up the rate of delivery by evaluating our existing process and by adding more resources that can quickly deliver results. Stay tuned for more updates on this collaboration, especially in the area of API Development and enhancements to ESP’s Digital Banking platform.
