Szabo New Conversion Coordinator

Spokane Valley, WA – 02/04/2019 – ESP taps Lexi Szabo as new Conversion Coordinator.

She started as a receptionist in the Summer of 2015. After being promoted to Client Services Representative, her ethic of high-level customer service garnered her three ESP Employee of the Year recognition awards.

Lexi will be managing core conversions from beginning to end. A big part of her new position will be the coordination of communication between the client, their vendors and ESP. This ensures that all parties are on the same page and are in agreement for the portions of conversion they are responsible for.

True to form, Lexi immediately began the process of a core conversion upon her promotion. She’s currently working on a conversion that will develop her skills in project management, communication, and team building.

According to her manager, Shelly Rogers, her attention to detail, extensive client knowledge, her grasp of FORZA, and her tenacity are some of the qualities that garnered this promotion.

Nordstrom FCU Chooses ESP

Nordstrom FCU Chooses ESP

Spokane Valley, WA – 11/26/2018 – Nordstrom Federal Credit Union (FCU) located in Seattle, WA has chosen Enhanced Software Products, Inc. to be their core processing service provider.

Nordstrom FCU is member-owned and has been serving Nordstrom store employees since 1936. They are dedicated to providing superior service and financial products. Their members enjoy perks such as custom-tailored loan terms, competitive dividend rates, and convenient online banking services.

Shelli Millhuff, President and CEO of Nordstrom FCU, began her search for a core processor that would bring her credit union into the 21st Century. She required a system that was relevant and could help meet member needs with better technology and increased customer service.

Among Millhuff’s goals were: ease of use for both employees and members; quality service delivered in a timely manner; and the ability to integrate third-party vendors including MeridianLink and Kasasa. ESP’s FORZA3™ core processing platform fit the bill.

On the week of conversion, the team from ESP was onsite and had all of the necessary documents and processes needed to validate prior to flipping the conversion switch.

KBR CU Converts to FORZA

KBR CU Converts to FORZA

Spokane Valley, WA – 01/16/2017 – KBR Credit Union, a branch of American Lake CU, recently converted to ESP’s FORZA3™ core processing platform.

KBR Credit Union (KBR), located in Tacoma, WA, began serving employees of the St. Regis Paper Mill in 1949. “KBR” is short for “Kraft, Bag and Regional” – the three divisions of the mill at the time. In 2015 they merged with American Lake Credit Union (American Lake) located in Lakewood, WA. The merger allows for better access to products and services for the membership as well as bringing more convenience through additional locations.

KBR President Kolin McMann, who has been working in credit unions since he was 17, decided to press forward a core conversion for KBR. McMann began working at KBR in 2010 bringing his considerable credit union management experience and his degree in Accounting from Portland State University. He was later brought over to run American Lake and to manage the merger.

McMann had previously gone through two credit union core conversions and was well aware of the factors inherent in process. Drafting a full RFP (request for proposal), he and his team began to evaluate core processors that would meet 100% of their needs going forward.

After evaluating many cores, McMann and his team selected FORZA3™. ESP was able to beat competing cores by providing the necessary ease-of-use with attractive pricing and no nickel-and-dime charges. KBR was also sold on its numerous third-party integrations and the diversity of other offerings as well. He also noted that “transactions are also much quicker” due to its built-in efficiencies.

Shelly Rogers, Conversion Lead at ESP, was a point person for the KBR conversion. She coordinated communication and the transfer of data between ESP and the existing core. Another important role she filled was to facilitate the verification process with third-party vendors to ensure all systems were functional on day one of the conversion.  She enjoyed working with the KBR staff to ensure a smooth transition.

As often in business, timing is everything. Before a concrete conversion date was established, McMann had booked a vacation to Mexico. As luck would have it, it just happened to fall a full week prior to conversion – not a time that anyone would consider opportune. Although attempting to go “off-grid” vendors continued to attempt to contact him via phone and email to get specific data need for the conversion. Before he could respond and without him asking, ESP’s team, including Shelly Rogers, contacted the vendors, relayed that he was on vacation and provided the information they needed. This interaction ensured that when McMann returned his inbox was not filled with vendor requests.

American Lake CU Selects ESP

American Lake CU Selects ESP

Spokane Valley, WA – 06/06/2016 – American Lake Credit Union in Tacoma, WA has selected ESP’s (Enhanced Software Products, Inc.) core processing solution, FORZA3™ as the chosen software solution. The credit union has also chosen a plethora of ESP’s ancillary services to compliment the core.

Approximately 6,500 members use American Lake CU for their banking and financing needs. Its mission is to be a “proactive financial cooperative dedicated to helping members improve their financial status.”

There are currently three locations in the Tacoma area and a fourth is on its way in downtown Lakewood, WA in November. This new location will be within three miles of the majority of its members. Its 4,600 square foot space will house the new administration office and a flagship/prototype retail branch. Their grand opening will go hand-in-hand with their conversion to FORZA3™.

The credit unions will be deploying solutions like Member Imaging, Paperless Receipts, Digital Documents, Home Banking, Mobile Banking and MeridianLinks XpressAccounts and LoansPQ.

Kolin McMann, American Lake CU’s President/CEO, has fourteen years experience in the credit union industry and has worked with six other cores previously. This conversion to FORZA3™ will be his third exposure to the conversion process.
