SEI CU Chooses ESP
Spokane Valley, WA – 07/05/2017 – SEI Credit Union in Pocatello, ID converts to ESP’s FORZA3™ core processing platform.
SEI Credit Union (SEI) began life as Pocatello United States Employees Federal Credit in 1935. The original field of membership was postal employees and railway mail clerks located in Pocatello, Idaho, members of their immediate families, and associations of these employees.
In its history, SEI has gone through several name changes which accompanied additions to its field of membership. In July of 2014, SEI-US Employees Federal Credit Union changed its name to SEI Credit Union.
There are currently 42 Special Employee Groups (SEGs) as part of the field of membership. SEI has a total of 2,375 members and $15.4 million in assets.
Several years ago, the management team at SEO began looking for a new core processor. They needed a more up-to-date, more streamlined core that would be more efficient. ESP’s enhanced technology offerings and extended customer service proved to be the right fit for SEI going forward.
Randi Kerr, VP of Operations at SEI, really appreciated the programmable automatic functions within FORZA3™. She stated that these functions directly impact her employee’s workflow by not requiring “every little aspect of daily processes to be performed manually” – a real time-saver.
Although the conversion process can be quite daunting, the SEI conversion went swimmingly. ESP was onsite in Pocatello and was able to cope with any challenges they faced directly. Randi was truly pleased with the result.

Christy Harmon, ESP’s Manager of Client Services, coordinated that data was correctly and accurately transferred from SEI’s prior software into the new core. She also was onsite with her team for six business days plus a full weekend to provide hands-on support- making sure SEI was comfortable with FORZA3™. For her, the conversion process went as well as could be expected.
“The conversion went wonderfully! We were able to leave the SEI branch by 5:00 pm on the conversion day – which is a very good sign. We were in balance and they felt comfortable with the change.
