Enhanced Software Products, Inc. (ESP) is proud to announce that Alex Ray has been promoted to Vice President of Technology. Since joining the ESP team in 2010, Alex has spent the last 16 years serving first as a Technical Support Representative, then System Administrator, then Network Security Engineer, bringing a wealth of technical expertise and institutional knowledge to this new executive leadership position.
In his elevated role, Alex will oversee the strategic design and management of the information technology architecture and processes required to support the FORZA³™ core processing platform. A key component of his mission will be a close partnership with Shelly Rogers, the newly appointed Vice President of Product, ensuring that all software advancements are backed by a scalable and robust technical infrastructure.
Alex will now lead both the Information Technology and Data Analytics teams. Embracing the challenge of personnel management, he is implementing daily stand-up meetings to maintain project momentum and publishing ongoing planning notes to foster an environment of transparency. Alex is a firm believer that "effective communication is the key to a strong team," and he intends to maintain an open-door policy to address challenges across the organization as they arise.
Looking at the broader credit union landscape, Alex has identified two critical areas of focus:
- Cybersecurity: He remains committed to fortifying client defenses through the continued promotion of Meraki firewalls and Blackpoint Cyber’s Managed Detection and Response. Furthermore, he plans to expand ESP’s managed security services suite in areas such as Managed Antivirus through SentinelOne and Patch Management through NinjaOne.
- Auditing and Member Insights: Alex is championing the use of Data Analytics to provide credit union administrators with deeper insights into their members' financial health and the credit union’s growth while streamlining the examination process. By leveraging the platform to generate comprehensive, automated reports for specific audiences, he aims to simplify planning and compliance and provide transparency. By turning raw data into actionable insights and audit-ready documentation, he empowers credit unions to meet regulatory requirements and serve their members more effectively.
As part of his long-term vision for ESP, Alex is also spearheading the development of a new off-site data storage facility to enhance disaster recovery and data redundancy for our clients.
Alex’s promotion marks an exciting new chapter for our technical infrastructure as we continue to evolve the FORZA³™platform. His dual focus on high-level cybersecurity and member-focused data analytics ensures that our client credit unions are equipped with the most secure and insightful tools available in the industry today. Please join us in congratulating Alex on his new role as Vice President of Technology and his sixteen years of dedicated service to the ESP community.
