Alex Ray Celebrates 15 Years with ESP
This October, we congratulate our network security engineer, Alex Ray, on his 15th year with Enhanced Software Products, Inc. (ESP).
Alex began working with ESP while still a student at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. He came to ESP with freelance experience in the IT help desk for several local companies. As he states, “ESP was my first W-2 job.”
Alex enjoys the flexibility of his position. He is able to work on diverse projects that are usually outside the scope of an IT professional. Currently, he is working on deploying a comprehensive data analytics platform for our client credit unions. It utilizes real-time data to create visual dashboards that enable credit unions to make informed decisions about their operations. He is also researching the use of CloudFlare across multiple ESP platforms to increase speed and security. In the IT realm, he is working on implementing a high-speed storage array and fiber optic connections that will provide clients with faster response times and improved reliability.
He also participates heavily in local, regional, and state-wide cybersecurity competitions for high schoolers. Through the SkillsUSA and the Air & Space Force Association’s CyberPatriot programs, Alex creates real-world scenarios for competitions that challenge teens with their cybersecurity prowess.
During his tenure at ESP, Alex has grown a great respect for the credit union industry. He admires the industry’s stability and its commitment to “people helping people,” which aims to make communities prosper.
Regarding his time at ESP, Alex has commented that “management is very supportive and the employees are great to work with.”
Matt Lefler, ESP Vice President, is the manager of the IT department and is proud to have Alex on his team. “Alex is a real asset to our team. He is essential to maintaining the flow of data with our client credit unions. He’s also a great guy to work with. He seems to win employee recognition awards every year.”
ESP wishes Alex Ray a happy anniversary and a hearty thank you for all your hard work.
